Our Core Truths

Kyrios Ministries is centered on a few core Biblical truths that are non-negotiables. So in terms of the vision as the body of Christ, these are ‘spine’ issues. On ‘rib’ issues, we appreciate the differences of one anothers’ backgrounds and different journey’s spiritually, giving grace to one another. Thus, this is not an comprehensive theology, but rather central truths that we as Kyrios Ministries want to hold to and lead by, based on the absolute truth of Scripture.

Truths we hold to as Kyrios Ministries Team:

Who is Jesus Christ?

What is the Bible?

What about Salvation?

  • Fully God and Fully Man

His nature was divine – part of the Trinity – and at the same time, a human being who experienced all the temptations we did but did not sin. Colossians 2:9, Hebrews 1:3 and 4:15

  • Access to the Father

He died on the cross so that we could connect directly to our Father in heaven. Ephesians 2:18

  • A Resurrected Savior

Jesus Christ fully died, was fully buried, and bodily raised from the dead, and is coming again! 1 Corinthians 15

  • A Revelation of Jesus

Jesus can be found on nearly every page in the Old and New Testament. Everything in the Word points to him. Luke 24:27, John 5:39

  • God's Inspired Word

God inspired the writers through the Holy Spirit. Because He cannot lie, the Bible is trustworthy and we can base our lives upon it. 2 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Timothy 3:15-17, Psalm 119:105

  • Authoritative

As God is the ultimate source of authority, His Word is the primary means by which he communicates it. It is the standard of authority for us as his people. 2 Peter 1:20-21

  • All-Sufficient

The Bible is adequate in itself, not needing anything added or subtracted from it. It provides sufficient revelation of God and His relationship with people. 1 John 1:1-4, John 5:39

  • Life-Changing

The Bible is a living book that nourishes us spiritually and leads us to Jesus who transforms us continuously from the inside out. James 1:22, John 6:63, Hebrews 4:12-13

  • Why?

Everyone has sinned, which deserves God’s wrath, and leads to eternal death. Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Romans 1:18, 1 Cor 15:22

  • Who?

Jesus died for the sin of the whole world and wants for everybody to receive salvation. Everyone has the freedom to receive or reject this gift. John 6:44, John 3:16, 1 John 2:2, John 1:12

  • How?

By an undeserved gift of grace, through faith in Jesus and His death and resurrection. By confessing with your mouth and believing in your heart. Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10

  • Then what?

In Jesus, we are a new creation. New life is shown by increasing spiritual fruit & spiritual gifts. We believe that the fivefold gifts exist for the building up of the body as different gifts are given to believers for the common good if practiced in a humble, loving and mature way. 2 Corinthians 5:17, John 13:34, Romans 8:1-17, Galatians 5:22, Ephesians 4:11-13, Romans 12:4-8, 1 Corinthians 12:7-11
